2nd Symposium
On November 8, the 2nd Green Lab Symposium took place as a hybrid event.

The main topics this year were:
Construction of a new research building - how can sustainability be comprehensively taken into account?
Laboratory safety based on the new EKAS guideline - what does the industry say about it?
Interdisciplinary collaboration at Novartis – how does it work in practice and what role does the building play?
A new standard for the planning, implementation and operation of laboratories - why is it needed?
Flexibility and economic efficiency of laboratory buildings - a contradiction
Real and virtual research - what influence does digitalization have?
The speakers were proven experts from their industries and, in addition to their presentations, controversially discussed the challenges in a panel discussion.

Another highlight of the 2nd Green Lab Symposium was the presentation to the public of a new pilot laboratory that is currently being installed by Green Building members at Siemens in Zug.
This provided a practical demonstration of how future research requirements can be better met today.
